Bat Walk at Ballyseedy woods
We are delighted to be hosting a Bat walk in collaboration with Tralee Rowing Club on August 24th to celebrate #InternationalBatNight, one of our #HeritageWeek2024 events!
There are nine resident bat species found in Ireland. Kerry is one of six counties in Ireland that are home to the Lesser Horseshoe Bat and you don't to go far from our county town Tralee to find them.
The Bat Walk will be led by Daniel Buckley (NPWS District Conservation Officer), Brid Colhoun (NPWS Conservation Ranger) and Noel Mulligan (Consultant Ecologist to TRC) and Eleanor Turner (Biodiversity Officer, KCC).
We'd love to have you join us!
Meeting at the north carpark in Ballyseedy Woods at 8.15pm, wear suitable footwear, a high vis jacket (if you have one) and bring a torch.
Suitable for all the family!
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
