Running from 16th to 24th August, this vibrant week-long celebration offers a unique opportunity to explore the town’s rich heritage through an exciting mix of events for all ages.

Wander Bandon’s historic streets with expert-led walking tours, delve into centuries-old tales at engaging talks, and enjoy live music, creative workshops, and immersive heritage demonstrations. From re-enactments and archaeological digs to harp recitals and circus performances, the festival brings the past to life in fun and inspiring ways.

Highlights include the family-friendly Fun Day on Sunday 24th August, complete with puppet shows, butter-making, craft stalls, and the spectacular ‘Bandon Through the Ages’ parade. Don’t miss An Evening with John Spillane or the many free events showcasing crafts, music, and stories rooted in local tradition.

Supported by The Heritage Council, Irish Walled Towns Network, and Cork County Council, the festival honours Bandon’s layered past — from its 17th-century origins to its diverse present.
