Ballysallagh House Opening in Association with Historic Houses of Ireland
A date-stone at the hall door confirms that the largely-original Ballysallagh House was built in 1722. Unusual period features include a handsome internal fanlight and a matching glazed cabinet added to the staircase hall in 1810. Beautiful Ballysallagh was in a state of neglect when its current owners discovered it in 1987. It is now an exquisite gem complete with formal Italianate garden where once there was just an empty field.
