Throughout the day, join Anneka as she explores how early Irish communities sourced, prepared, and shared food, offering a fascinating glimpse into the daily diets and traditions of our ancestors. Watch as oats are ground in the traditional way with a smooth rock and a patient hand. Anneka will then mix and bake bread over an open campfire, demonstrating the skill and technique involved in even the simplest meals. Through this engaging demonstration, the resourcefulness and ingenuity of ancient food preparation is brought to life offering a connection to the past through the sights, smells and sounds of early Irish cooking.
