"All Paths Lead to Glendalough" A Celebration of The Saint Kevin's Way
This is a collaborative event to celebrate this year’s theme of National Heritage Week involving Wicklow Mountain’s National Park, the OPW, Glendalough Heritage Forum and The St Kevin’s Way Committee. Join us on walking a section of the St Kevin’s Way with talks by experts along the route focusing on the Archaeology, Ecology and Mining History to be found on this ancient path.
Participants will be brought by bus from Glendalough Visitor Centre to Turlough Hill and begin the walk from there into the Glendasan and Glendalough Valley. The walk will conclude with a visit to Glendalough Visitor Centre OPW.
This walk is strenuous and on uneven terrain. Walking Boots, Raingear and Water is essential. The duration of this event is 3.5 to 4 hours. The bus will leave Glendalough Visitor Centre at 13.30pm and compliment the 181 and 183 public transport connections. Please be aware that there is a €4/5 parking fee in Glendalough and that parking can be a challenge. No Dogs allowed.
