A Summer Recital of Voice and Piano
As part of Irish Heritage Week 2025, Eilís Dexter, Michael McCartan and Arthur
Greene will perform a recital combining Irish influences with themes of summer,
nature and love. The programme will present music from baroque to twentieth
century and include works from Irish composers and poets such as Ina Boyle,
Thomas Moore and Nahum Tate. With a mix of art song, opera and folk melodies,
the recital will take inspiration from the beautiful countryside setting of Moone Abbey.
In recognition of the theme ‘exploring our foundations’ each artist has included
pieces that honour their individual identity whilst acknowledging their shared
heritage.
This recital will take place in the drawing room of Moone Abbey, centred around the antique grand piano. Numbers are limited, so booking (by phone or email) is essential.
