
A Musical Journey Through Time: Ardrahan Church, Galway

Music from 12th to 21st centuries, which covers the period of activity and settlement on the church site. Performances from the Red Earl’s Consort, which has members from Galway Early Music, Duo Dolce, a violin and cello partnership of Katharina and Naima Baker, Helena Quirke providing piano accompaniment for some well known hymns that would have been sung in the present church in the 19th century and Finola O’Siochru reprising her beautiful song about native Irish trees. Christy Cunniffe, archaeologist will talk about the structures on the church site.
Access to church is up a flight of steps, with handrail. Refreshments served in the Sunday School after the event. All welcome.
