Join us for a special open day at the newly refurbished Milltown Community Museum, Co Galway where history comes to life through interactive exhibits and community stories. The exhibition is presented through engaging information boards that trace the local area's unique heritage, its people, traditions, and transformation over time.
Our brand-new digital touchscreen experience highlights cherished aspects of local life, including the GAA, carnivals, races, and a vibrant gallery of photographs and posters from the past.
Visitors of all ages can explore our handling collection featuring items that offer a tangible connection to Milltown’s past including items from country life, religious traditions, local businesses and archaeology.
Whether you're revisiting memories or discovering Milltown's story for the first time, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore, connect, and celebrate our shared heritage illustrating the cultural and historic life of local people.
