Poetry in The Park

This beach walk examines the new exposures of glacial deposits in the cliffs along the north Woodstown shore, revealing evidence of changing sea levels prior to and following human settlement.
Sand martins demonstrate a knowledge of geology. Receding cliffs near Newtown Head talk of changing sea level in the last 100,000 years. On the beach the stones of very diverse rocks tell a much older story of mountains, volcanoes and raging desert rivers from up to 460 million years ago.
