What happens when people are asked to map their opinions of places in North West Ireland online? Can online mapping improve participation in place-making and deliver better outcomes for local areas?

Find out more at this lunchtime double-talk with Andrew McClelland, a researcher based at Maynooth University, and Daragh McDonough, IS Project Leader (GIS) at Donegal County Council. The speakers will discuss #MyValuedPlaces, an online map-based survey undertaken in 2017, and Donegal Placenames, a crowdsourcing approach to recording local place names using mapping technology.
