Working Together to Support our Otter Population in Tralee
Join us in a celebration of the collaborative work happening in Tralee to support our Otter Population, on Water Heritage Day. We are delighted to welcome Dr Ferdia Marnell, Mammal Specialist in the National Parks and Wildlife Service’s Scientific Advice and Research Directorate who will deliver a keynote on the National Otter Survey, how to recognise signs and tracks of Otters and how to support this elusive species. We are also delighted to showcase work being done within our community to support Otters, with contributions from Transition Kerry, Tralee Bay Wetlands, Biodiversity Partners, Irish Wildlife Trust (Kerry) and Tralee Tidy Towns.
This event has been supported by LAWPRO and NPWS and will take place at Tralee Bay Wetlands from 2-3.30pm on Sunday 24th August - refreshments will be provided. Please register your interest in advance by emailing us on tidytownstralee@gmail.com as space will be limited!
