Women's Heritage Walking Tour

Discover north inner-city Dublin through the stories of women who shaped the city. This tour will explore sites of previous commemoration and overlooked histories through stories of revolutionary anti-colonial figures, activists, local trade legends, and writers. Tickets are free but limited, so booking is essential.

About the Tour Guide
Frances Ballew is a student in the M.Phil in Public History and Cultural Heritage at Trinity College Dublin. Her current research interests include memory, labour history, social justice and folk music. She has interned for Dublin City Council this year with an eye towards researching and designing a local women’s heritage trail. This project addresses the persistent lack of women represented in public spaces in Dublin. This tour is a sneak-peak into the many stories of interesting women whose experiences will be amplified on the future heritage trail.
