Water Heritage Day 2026: Discovering the Heritage of Streamstown

Join the Sligo Bay Catchment Rivers Trust CLG for a guided Water Heritage Day walk exploring the fascinating natural, cultural and industrial heritage of Streamstown and Ballisodare Bay.

Led by local heritage experts Martin Enright and Michael Bell, this walk will uncover the stories that have shaped this remarkable coastline. Along the route we'll explore the area's rich maritime history, historic salt pans, the Long Bank, coastal habitats and the close relationship between local communities and the waters of Ballisodare Bay.
