Lead by volunteer guides from Wexford Lions Club, this historical tour brings a striking Wexford landmark to life. The guides share stories, myths and legends of the foundation of the abbey and key historical characters associated with some of the graves. Discover Selskar Abbey's rich heritage, medieval architecture, and fascinating stories from as far back as the Crusades.
The tour takes about an hour and starts at 11am at the Nickey Rackard statue in Trimmer’s Lane, Y35 DP20. We recommend you wear suitable footwear.
Wexford Lions Club is a not-for-profit service organisation, with this year’s tour donations supporting the S.E.R.T. minibus which transports Wexford cancer patients free of charge and stress-free to Waterford for radiotherapy treatment.
Voluntary donations to support the Wexford SERT bus for radiotherapy patients to travel for treatment to Waterford (suggested donation 5 euro per adult, 1 euro per child).
