
Historical Walking Tour of Kilrossanty Village

There will be a walking tour from Kilrossanty NS to the Corn Mill, guided by local historian Síle Murphy. The tour (approx. 2km) will outline the history of the area as a thriving rural village, the buildings and the people who lived & worked there. This will be followed by the unveiling of the new village heritage sign (which is inspired by the information given on the tour) & the village enhancement works undertaken by the newly founded Kilrossanty Tidy Towns. Guests include Síle Murphy, Mayor of Waterford City & County Cllr Liam Brazil and WCCC Heritage Officer Bernadette Guest. This event is a collaboration between Kilrossanty Remembers Local History & Heritage Group, Kilrossanty National School & Kilrossanty Tidy Towns Group. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Meeting at Kilrossanty N.S. (Eircode X42 XW57), with tour leaving at 7.30pm. All are welcome
