Walk and Talk: Beavers in Ireland - past, present and future.

All welcome to a talk on beavers and a walk to two ecological ‘dam installations’, to explore new ways of thinking about land care and water management in north Clare.
Ecologist Feidhlim Hearty, will present his talk: Beavers in Ireland - past, present and future. Exploring the possibility of a hidden beaver heritage in our language, with pathways for future restoration of our waterways and landscape. A walk to two ‘dam instillations’ built on the land by local farmers, neighbours and GUAC artists working together will follow. Conversation on how local people are engaging with ecological challenges at the Lickeen Lake Catchment will be had after with tea and cake. Wear wellies and long trousers.
