Voices of Ballinagh

Step back in time and discover some of the history and heritage of Ballinagh, Co. Cavan. The event will feature part of the 1930’s Dúchas ‘Schools Collection’, where we will bring to life the voices of local schoolchildren from the 1930’s who documented tales, traditions, and folklore as part of a nationwide initiative. We plan to have Ballinagh teachers read out some of the stories from this collection. We will also have a storytelling session accompanied by local musicians. These elements combined will offer a rare glimpse into the culture and heritage that has shaped our community over time.

Our event is suitable for anyone with an interest in the culture and history of Ballinagh. Children and teenagers are of course welcome but must be supervised by parents.
