Unlisted Field Structure at Corbally, Tulsk: An Archaeological Impact Assessment

20 August, 7pm - 8pm

  • Co. Roscommon

Tulsk Lord Edwards GAA Club, with the support of the Heritage Council’s Community Heritage Grant Scheme, has commissioned the undertaking of an archaeological impact assessment of a unlisted field structure adjacent to the proposed site of a new multi-purpose games area to be developed at Corbally Tulsk.

The project site is located in the vicinity of Tulsk Co Roscommon which is adjacent to the internationally significant archaeological landscape at Rathcroghan, a tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site (as one of the Royal Sites of Ireland).

A masterplan for the development of additional sports and community areas by the club identified the need for an archaeological impact assessment.
This webinar is hosted by Tulsk Lord Edwards GAA Club and will include a presentation on the role of archaeological impact assessments, the steps in the assessment process and the preliminary findings to date.

It will be presented by Mr. Eoin Halpin, MIAI, MICFA, Operations Manager with Archaeology and Heritage Consultancy Limited
