Turn Back Time 1926-2026

The event is a one-day programme based on the theme of the valley in 1926. An audio-visual display featuring old photographs and 1926 Census Records will form the background to reconstructions of what life was like 100 years ago. There will also be two 20-minute presentations on the 1926 Census including population profile, landownership, employment and businesses.


The one-day event will include exhibits of reconstructions of a shop, schoolroom, post office, a kitchen, crafts, clothing, farming and food. The exhibits will be manned by volunteers dressed in period dress and visitors will interact with the volunteers who can answer queries or just chat.


Traditional food including home-made products will be available to sample (no charge).

The event is scheduled for August 16th,1-6pm.
