Harristown House is a family heritage home located in County Kildare set in a stunning landscape of over 700 acres, encompassing rivers, green fields, flora, and fauna. It has been beautifully restored by the Beaumount family who have lived there since 1946.

On the ground floor, the ceilings are 18 feet high, and the front room is a magnificent double bedroom that opens onto the three main reception rooms: the library, the painting room, and the dining room.

However, the house's best-kept secret is the 16th-century Chinese wallpaper in a living room leading to the drawing room, which features birds in striking, vibrant colours. Among other curiosities are an upstairs room with oak panelling salvaged from a Tudor house in England and a set of French Empire-era frames.

Harristown House is a proud member of Historic Houses of Ireland.

Open 9am to 1pm. Last tour 12.00pm. Groups by prior appointment.

Admission:
10 euro per person
