Tours of Anaverna House and Garden
Anaverna is a Georgian House built in 1806 for James McClelland, a judge involved in the trials of the perpetrators of the burning of Wild Goose Lodge. The builder was Thadeus Gallagher who lived nearby and was mostly involved in maintaining the mills in the Flurry Valley. He would would have used a Pattern Book - simplified drawings copied from an architect designed house. I enjoy showing people around the house and garden and talking about the people who have lived here.
I intend to start tours at three, four and five o'clock. If I have time you might get a cup of tea or even a croquet lesson.
