Tour of Mill and grounds at Donaghmore

The Irish Vintage Engine and Tractor association is a voluntary club which was established in 1979 to support vintage enthusiasts and to help to preserve our heritage for future generations.
In 2003 the I.V.E.T.A. acquired the Donaghmore Mill complex on the Erkina river. The complex includes mill building and mill race, kiln building, and a number of residential and storage buildings across the footbridge in “The Swallow’s Quarter.”

Many of the buildings at Donaghmore have now been restored by the I.V.E.T.A. with the assistance of Laois Partnership and the complex is now used as a permanent headquarters for meetings, exhibitions, vintage rallies, and social events throughout the year.

Members of the I.V.E.T.A. will be on hand to give guided tours of the buildings and the collection of tractors, machinery, engines, and rural and domestic bygones.

Light refreshments will be available.
