
Tours of Barmeath Castle, Co. Louth in Association with Historic Houses of Ireland
Barmeath Castle stands proudly on a wooded hillside, looking out over 10 acres of park to the mountains of the Cooley Peninsula and the Irish Sea. Home to the Bellew family since the 1670s, its gardens were designed by Thomas Wright who came to Ireland in 1745. They include a lake, islands and a rustic rock bridge, which is typical of Wright’s work. Barmeath Castle is a proud member of Historic Houses of Ireland.

House: adult/OAP/student €5
Garden: adult/OAP/student €5, child free
