Portlaoise AFC is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2026. As part of the celebrations, James Bennett, a local historian, was commissioned to write a history of the club. The Story of Portlaoise AFC, 1966-2006 will be launched by Seamus O’Brien on Friday, 21 August. There will also be an input from James Bennett.
