Based on his book The Root of All Evil: The Irish Boundary Commission, Dr Cormac Moore describes the Boundary Commission journey from its inclusion as part of the 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty through to its breakdown in late 1925, analysing the main reasons for its collapse, that still resonates today.

Bio: Dr Cormac Moore is founder and director of the history consulting company History Link. He is chairperson of the Greystones Archaeological and Historical Society. He has published widely on modern Irish history including the books The Root of All Evil: The Irish Boundary Commission (2025) and Birth of the Border: The Impact of Partition in Ireland (2019). He is a columnist with the Irish News as well as editor of its daily ‘On This Day’ segment. He is co-host with Tim McGarry of The Irish History Boys podcast show.
