This book is a culmination of an historical investigation by Moycarkey Borris Littleton Men's Shed, Moycarkey Borris Littleton Community History Group and Historian Dr. Pat McMahon
The book explores the unique and surprising story of Airman Larry Slattery from Littleton who became the first prisoner taken by Germany after the outbreak of World War II on September 3rd 1939. Larry was also the longest serving prisioner of WWII.
The book tells of Larry's amazing journey through prisioner of war camps, liberation and life beyond WWII.
