The Little Creatures in a Freshwater Stream | Wild Child Day | Tramore EcoGroup
A look at the small creatures that live in a freshwater stream and how their presence or absence tells us about how clean or polluted the stream is. We will take samples from the stream and using the Citizens Science Streams Index we will look for the "good guys" which need clean water and the "bad guys" which tolerate polluted water.
We will also identify the little creatures that live on the stream bed. There will be children's activities arranged by Tramore EcoGroup. This is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the beautiful woods in Tramore town.
Head down to the carpark at Newtown Cove and onto the path to the woods where the event will be held.
Please wear appropriate clothing as this is an outdoor event.
