Clare Local Studies & Archives is delighted to invite the public to the launch of The Glynn Collection Exhibition on Tuesday, 18 August at 6.30pm in de Valera Library, Ennis.

The exhibition showcases highlights from the Glynn Collection, an important archive documenting the commercial, social, and civic life of County Clare and Ireland from the late eighteenth century onwards. Through business records, correspondence, photographs, and other material, the collection provides a fascinating insight into generations of the Glynn family and the wider history of the county.

The launch will include a talk by historian Dr. Paul O’Brien exploring the significance of the collection and the contribution of the Glynn family to the economic and social development of Clare.

Clare County Library wishes to thank the Glynn family for their generosity in preserving and sharing this remarkable archive.

We also acknowledge the support of The Heritage Council through the Heritage Stewardship Fund and Ceangal: The Local Authority Heritage Programme, a partnership between The Heritage Council and Local Government Ireland, which has supported the preservation, cataloguing, and digitisation of the collection.
