Conservation of the Medieval Church and Graveyard Claregalway

This talk will outline the project to conserve the Old Abbey in Claregalway which is in a poor state of repair and make the structure safe for the public. It will inform the public of the importance of the history as this is a special structure and the need to maintain it. It is a recorded monument and is an important element in the cultural heritage in Claregalway. People will be able to visit the old graveyard and care for their ancestors burial plots when the structure is made safe. It is hoped that it would boost tourism in the future.
