Join county archaeologist Dr Michael Connolly for an evening talk discussing the findings from this year's community archaeology excavation at Knockanacuig, Tralee, Co Kerry. This summer was the fourth season of Dig Tralee, a major archaeological excavation at the site of a prehistoric monument complex on the western side of the town. The aim of the Dig Tralee community archaeology project is to explore this ancient monument and uncover what role it might have played in the origins of Tralee. The dig was led by a team of professional archaeologists with vital support from community volunteers. The evening talk will take place in the audio-visual room at Kerry County Museum.
