Story Sharing at St Brigid’s Holy Well, Killare

22 August, 3pm - 4:30pm

  • St Brigid's Holy Well,
  • Killare,
  • Co. Westmeath

Holy wells are sites of incredible heritage, cultural, folkloric and spiritual significance.

Join archaeologist Tara Ó'Faoláin for a talk about St Brigid's Holy Well and the history and traditions associated with it. Tara will also discuss the Westmeath Holy Wells Survey that is currently underway. She will invite attendees to share their stories and memories of their local holy wells and any traditions still associated with them. Please do bring along any objects or photos you may have connected with holy wells in Westmeath.

There is no parking available at St Brigid's Well, so attendees are asked to park at The Uisneach Inn, which is a short walk from the site. Please note the road is very busy, so please do take care when walking from the car parking area to the site.
