Step Back in Time – Baltinglass Heritage Week

Relive the history of Baltinglass this Heritage Week! Baltinglass Library will host a special exhibition of vintage photographs showcasing the town’s historic landmarks, commercial buildings, and natural landscape. These treasured images, donated by generous local residents and businesses, offer a rare glimpse into days gone by.

Before the exhibition, the Economic and Tourism Town Teams' subgroup will lead a guided walk to the historic Baltinglass Courthouse, where attendees can explore the old cells and courtyard – a fascinating behind-the-scenes experience not to be missed.

The subgroup hopes to establish a permanent heritage trail for the town in the near future, with these valuable photographs set to feature along the route. This exhibition is a first step toward making Baltinglass’s rich history accessible to all.
