Sketching the Heritage of Mullaghmore
North Sligo Sketchers Group are inviting you to sketch, and thereby record, any aspect of our North Sligo heritage, including heritage at risk, using any medium of your choice, on Tuesday evening, the 18th of August @7.15 pm, in Mullaghmore.
We are meeting in the main beach car park in the village. After a brief introduction, participants are welcome to select any aspect of the area's heritage that they wish to interpret using any medium of their choice, such as a jotter page and pencil, watercolour and pad, oils, pastels, acrylics, etc. Sketchers of any ability level, from beginners to more advanced, are welcome to enjoy some creative and social fun, for an hour or so, in the beautiful surroundings of the Mullaghmore peninsula in Co. Sligo.
This event is open to locals and visitors alike. Children are also welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No booking is required. You are advised to dress for the outdoors and to bring something to sit on, if you wish. The event will last for approx 60 to 90 minutes.
If conditions outdoors are not suitable, we can retreat to the comfort of the Pier Head Hotel bar area, overlooking beautiful views of the harbour and surrounding mountains, to sketch and enjoy a sociable drink or even a quick bite to eat, if you wish! You are welcome to share your work with other participants in a pop-up gallery there also.
Please note that sketching / art instruction is not being provided as part of this event. Conversation during this event in Irish, or any language of your choice, and at any level, is welcome.
