Seed Saving Workshop

Tipperary County Council are delighted to offer this seed saving workshop delivered by Aoife Munn in celebration of Heritage Week.
The workshop will be held from 10am to 12.30 in Cabragh Wetlants on 23rd of August.

Topics Covered include:
Learning about local biodiversity
Understand why seed saving matters.
Know which plants are worth collecting from.
Recognise native Irish plants suitable for seed collection.
Understand when seeds are ripe.
Learn several seed-cleaning techniques.
Know how to dry and store seed properly.
Understand the legal and ethical side of collecting seed.
Leave with several packets of seed they have cleaned and labelled.
