Sanctuary in Nature & Heritage invites participants to discover Ireland's rich cultural, built, and natural heritage through a day of guided visits, interactive workshops, and shared conversations. As part of National Heritage Week, this free event brings together people from diverse backgrounds to explore places of heritage, exchange stories, and celebrate the connections between culture, nature, and community in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The day begins with a guided tour of St Patrick's Cathedral, followed by an interactive cultural heritage workshop led by the Chester Beatty Museum Education team. After sharing lunch together, participants will travel to Phoenix Park for a guided walk led by an OPW guide, exploring the park's rich natural heritage, biodiversity, and wildlife.
This event is part of the Sanctuary in Nature & Heritage project, funded by the Heritage Council through the Community Heritage Grant Scheme and delivered in partnership with Chester Beatty Museum and the Office of Public Works (OPW).
