Rural Recollections Memory Map

The Headway Ireland "Rural Recollections Map" is a compilation of stories and recollections regarding work, pastimes, growing up and living in rural areas in County Cork.

Our participants were kind enough to share these stories with the U.C.C. Folklore Project on behalf of Headway Ireland, who support clients with Acquired Brain Injuries, including stroke.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our participants to capture their precious memories, which otherwise would have been lost forever.
We greatly appreciate the support of Cork County Council, U.C.C. Folklore Project, The Gilbert Centre Mallow, Mallow Library and most importantly the participants involved in completing this wonderful project.
