Remembering the Cashel to Gooldscross Railway Line

Our event will commence in Ardmayle Church with a talk by Billy Maher (a local railway historian) on the history of the railway. We will listen as the story unfolds looking at pictures of a once vibrant railway line. We will then go out and about in the area exploring places, buildings and items remaining of the railway, now obsolete or forgotten that were once essential parts of the railway.

Marian Ryan will give a brief talk on Ardmayle village and its history and its association with the railway.

All are welcome to attend what should be a very interesting afternoon talk and visit to places that remind us of times gone by.
