Rambling House

18 August, 7pm - 10pm

  • Roscrea Courthouse
  • Gaol Road
  • Co. Tipperary

Join Fear an Tí Séamus Moloughney for what promises to be a fantastic evening of stories, songs and rhymes from the rare auld times! Inspired by the cherished tradition of the Irish rambling house, this will be an opportunity to gather in good company, share music, laughter and memories, and celebrate our rich heritage that has been passed from generation to generation.

In the days before television and modern entertainment, neighbours would gather in each other's homes for an evening of conversation, songs, recitations, dancing and tales, keeping local traditions and folklore alive. This event aims to capture that same warm and welcoming spirit, where everyone is encouraged to take part, whether by singing a song, telling a story, sharing a poem or simply enjoying the company.

Light refreshments will be served, and a warm fáilte awaits all.
Admission is free. If you would like to support the event, donations will be gratefully accepted on the night, with all proceeds going to Age Friendly Roscrea to support its invaluable work in the community.
