Explore Monasterevin's cultural and built heritage from the late 1890's to the 2000's through a series of photographs and pictures. View the industries, shops, businesses, market days, festivals and local characters as the town changed and developed over the last 120 plus years.
Revisit the locally famous Monasterevin Canal Festival and the old Bell Harbour. Marvel at the sartorial elegance of coopers in Cassidy Distillery in the 1890's. Remember the old Tyna Knitwear factory on Whelan Street? the now demolished Weavers Row? or the Civil Defence Pipe Band?
Come and take a trip down memory lane or learn something new about your home town.
The exhibition will run for the whole heritage week during library opening hours.
Please note the library closes daily from 1pm to 2pm.
