Our Roots in Longford: Exploring the Foundations of African-Irish Heritage

This Heritage Week project will celebrate and explore the evolving heritage and contribution of the African community in County Longford. The event will create a vibrant, multicultural storytelling and exhibition initiative, inspired by the theme 'Exploring Our Foundations.' The project will:

- Showcase African cultural traditions, crafts, and music
- Share personal migration stories and experiences of settling in Longford
- Explore the blending of African identity with local Longford heritage
- Reflect on how African residents are establishing new roots and shaping community life in Ireland today.
