One Sea One Sky
One Sea One Sky is a week-long series of drop-in workshops where artists Jeni Roddy, Caoimhe Dunne, Lynn Haughton, and Therese Maddock will guide participants in transforming beach waste into a large collaborative artwork.
As hands get busy creating, conversations will explore the creative potential of upcycling beach waste, particularly end-of-life fishing gear, giving discarded materials a new purpose. The workshops will also examine the impact of marine litter and other forms of pollution, including light pollution, on biodiversity and our coastal environment.
Participants are welcome to drop in at any time during the scheduled sessions and stay for as little or as long as they wish. Family workshops run from 2:00–4:00 pm, while adult sessions take place from 6:00–8:00 pm.
