21 August, 10:30am - 1pm

  • Nine Stones Car Park
  • Nine Stones, Mount Leinster
  • Co. Carlow

Mount Leinster is botanically unique in County Carlow as the purple headed mountain of C.F. Alexander's 1880 hymn.

The biodiversity contains many mountain specialists on the granite summit.

The Irish Geological Association will join with leaders Maria Cullen and Howard Fox to explore and explain the botany and geology of the area between the Nine Stones and the summit of Mount Leinster.
