Nature Then & Now: Sunprints & Memories
Join us in Midleton Lodge Park for a relaxed creative session exploring local nature, memories and changing landscapes as part of Cultural Companions **Nature Then & Now** project.
Using sunlight, prepared cyanotype paper and natural materials, participants will create their own simple blue-and-white nature print. No artistic experience is needed and all materials will be provided.
The activity will also invite us to look at the natural world around us and share memories of nature in and around Midleton . What plants, flowers, trees, birds or wildlife do you remember from childhood? What did you collect, grow or play among? What has changed in the local landscape over the years?
While our prints are developing, we will have time to share stories and memories and learn from each other's experiences.
With participants' permission, some memories and stories may be recorded as part of the wider **Nature Then & Now** project, helping to create a record of people's experiences of the natural environment within living memory.
This is a friendly, informal event suitable for anyone interested in **nature, local heritage, creativity and memories of place**.
