Nothing conjures up images of ancient Ireland in peoples minds more than an the Irish Wolfhound.
This giant ancient breed of sighthound is associated with the great Irish hero Cú Chulainn and under the Brehon Laws could only be owned by nobility.
The Glen of Imaal Terrior can trace its roots back to the 16th/17th centuary when Flemish and Hessian soldiers who settled in this remote area Co. Wicklow, hence giving the terriors their name. These working and hunting dogs are one of the rarest Irish Terrior breeds.
