Monkstown Village Tree Trail Walk
23 August, 3pm - 4:15pm
- Monkstown Village
- The walk will start in Monkstown Village (exact location TBC on booking)
- Co. Dublin – Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown
Monkstown Village is very fortunate to be surrounded by spectacular trees of many varieties. In 2022, Monkstown Village Tidy District launched our Tree Trail, a self-guided loop walk which brings you past forty different species – most of the native Irish trees, many of the main introduced species and some specimen or unusual trees. The trail is set out in an attractive leaflet with some information on each of the species.
As part of Heritage Week, we’d be delighted if you’d like to join us on Sunday 23rd for a guided walk round the Eastern part of the Tree Trail.
Sunday’s walk will be led by Charles Shier who provided all the technical information for the Tree trail leaflet.
Charles will show you all the interesting points about the different trees and answer any questions you have. The walk is suitable for all, regardless of how much or little knowledge you have and you’ll get a copy of the Tree Trail leaflet to take away.
Places for the walks are limited and can be booked on Eventbrite
This free event is co-funded by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council
