Mitchelstown Heritage Week Family Picnic and Heritage Fun Day

Back by popular demand Mitchelstown Heritage Society is marking National Heritage Week 2026 by hosting a family picnic with fun games and history in Kingston College, this Sunday, 16th August from 13.30-4pm. So pack your family a picnic, maybe dress up from your favourite historic period or person (costumes optional-prizes for best kids and adults costume) Everyone is invited to enjoy your picnic in the beautiful setting of Kingston College.

There will also be host of activities including- Live music, Traditional Lawn Tennis, Croquet matches, Kids archery, Games, Children’s Face-painting,
History tour of College & King Square. For anyone looking to get a glimpse at some of the town's amazing built heritage. Kingston College Chapel will be open during this event.

This family event is being organised by Mitchelstown Heritage Society, Saint George's Arts and Heritage Centre and Kingston College.
