This exhibition explores the rich history of Irish geological discovery within the RDS, with a focus on the work and manuscripts of Donald Stewart, 18th Century "Itinerant Mineralogist." Stewart's manuscripts are in the process of being conserved and digitised through the Heritage Council Community Grant Scheme.
The exhibition will be shown in the library from Monday 17 August until Friday 21 August (10:00 am-5:00pm), and the talk will be held on Thursday 20 August from 12:00pm-1:00pm. All are welcome. Please email librarydesk@rds.ie to book a place at the talk.
