Medieval Gravemarkers and Medieval Castle Ruins

Join Anna Karoline Distel of the Kilkenny Archaeological Society and members of Threecastles Heritage Group for a guided exploration of the medieval gravemarkers of Old Threecastles Graveyard as well as a short history of some of those buried there.

This engaging outdoor event introduces participants to distinctive medieval grave‑slabs, explaining what these features reveal about belief, status, identity, and local traditions in medieval Ireland, with time for discussion and questions along the way.
