Layers of Listening: Exploring the Oral Histories of Mayo’s People and Places

This lecture, featuring audio samples, explores the evolving oral heritage landscape of County Mayo.  It draws on the findings of the Audit of Mayo Oral Heritage Collections and the rich community voices captured through the Mayo Creamery Oral History Project. It will highlight the enduring value of recorded memory in understanding Mayo’s cultural identity, rural life, and local history.
