Lawrence E. Steele Egyptology Exhibition and Talk

Join us at the RDS Library & Archives to learn about Lawrence E. Steele, an avid Egyptologist and RDS Vice President. Steele bequeathed his large collection of books, photos and notebooks relating to Egypt to the RDS. This fascinating collection is being digitised and catalogued with a Community Heritage Council Grant.

There will be a free pop-up exhibition in the RDS Library & Archives from Monday 18th August to Friday 22nd August, 10am to 5pm. All welcome!

We will also have a talk from the RDS Head of Library & Archives and the RDS Digital Archivist about digitising the Steele collection on Friday 22nd August from 11am to 12pm. Please email librarydesk@rds.ie to book a place at the talk.
